Fall Asleep To Everything The Mentalist Never Explained

The Mentalist explained: the unanswered questions about Red John, the Blake Association, and Visualize, told as a calm sleep story you can fall asleep to. This is a long, quiet deep dive into everything The Mentalist left unexplained, made for listening in bed rather than watching closely. It walks through the Blake Association's tattoo and password, the smiley face rules Patrick Jane used to spot a forgery in the pilot, the unfinished blood message from "Red John's Friends," the contradictions between Rosalind Harker's description and the man finally revealed, and the cult of Visualize that circled the killer for four seasons without ever being resolved. Each section separates what the show actually confirmed from what fans and critics inferred, and says plainly where the answer is simply unknown. The pace stays slow and steady throughout, so you can drift off without losing anything. What's covered in this video: The Blake Association is introduced as a network named after the English poet and painter William Blake, whose members identify each other with the password "Tyger Tyger" from Blake's poem "The Tyger." The three horizontal dots tattooed on the left shoulder are traced from the dying private detective Kira Tinsley in "The Red Tattoo" to the shoulder-baring scene in "Fire and Brimstone." Confirmed members are sorted from the unmarked, with Gale Bertram of the CBI, FBI agent Reede Smith, forensic scientist Brett Partridge, and Thomas McAllister inside, while Bret Stiles and Ray Haffner are not. Bob Kirkland's discovery in "Red Listed" establishes the network as a structure inside law enforcement before the show names the man at its head. Sheriff Thomas McAllister of Napa County is revealed as both Red John and the Blake Association's leader, faking his death using falsified DNA evidence supplied by Partridge. The question of how many followers Red John had is answered honestly, since the show names only a handful, including Oscar Cordero, and never counts the rest. The pilot's wrong-wall smiley face is examined alongside the described method of drawing it clockwise with three gloved fingers, and the real-world parallel of Keith Hunter Jesperson, the Happy Face Killer. Jared Renfrew's murder in a Tijuana motel leaves an unfinished blood message transcribed variously as "He is Mar," "He is Man," or "He is Ma," a clue the series never returns to. Bruno Heller's account that Red John's identity was chosen late explains why the fragment never connects to the seven-name list from "Red John's Rules." Rosalind Harker's blind description of a man just under six feet with a gentle voice and hands smelling of pine and earth is measured against Xander Berkeley, listed at six feet, plus the left-hand teacup and right-hand gun problem. Visualize and Bret Stiles, played by Malcolm McDowell, are followed from the address he gives Jane in "Red All Over" through Celia Jovanovich, Grace Van Pelt's attempted recruitment, Gabriel Meadows, and the bodies in "The Red Barn."
