  I used to grow my potatoes in old, used tires, fill up the tire with dirt and seeds and water. Then when the plant grew a bit taller than the tire,  I would add another tire on top of the first tire and add more dirt, then when the plant grew taller than the second tire I would add more dirt and so forth...until I had about 5 tires stacked tall. Once the spuds were ready to harvest I would take off the last tire and harvest those potatoes. After eating those potatoes I would take the next tire off etc. I used to yield about 25 pounds of potatoes all together for each 5 tire stack.

  If you start with only half the tube with compost you add more compost as it grows more roots means more potatoes 🥔 👍🏻

  When you clear the potato towers, do it in a bucket or on a plastic sheet - easier to collect and reuse the soil. Less messy!! ❤

  Попробуйте делать вот таким методом. Когда ростки достигнут высоты 15-20 см , засыпьте их почвой , оставив только макушки сверху. Опять как подрастут и станут над землёй 15 см, опять засыпайте землёй. Всё пусть развивается. Картофель клубни растут на самих стеблях. Так же ухаживайте. У нас это называется окучивать, делать кучку, холмик. Урожай повышается. Картофель не внизу растёт, а сверху, на стеблях. Поэтому заполняйте на половину земли, кладёте картофель, и потом засыпаете по мере вырастания стеблей. Нет необходимости в подпорках. Стебель тольстый и мощный. Картофель любит золу.❤
