He is a hero of mine. I have often quoted lines from his poem How to be a Poet..."stay away from screens. Live a three dimensional life." This was written way before the onslaught of cell phones.

Thank you for a comprehensive look at Mr. Berry's life and accomplishments. He was a gift to us all and will be missed. It is importnat to carry is work by supporting The Berry Center, I hope your readers will step up to that and keep his vision growing. He was a fortunate man, he got to see his vision come into being real time during his lifetime, The Berry Center. One note: I did not notice but one image in the presentation which had a citation. My father, James Baker Hall took many of the B&W images you used. If the future brings you back to stories about Mr. Berry you may contact the James Baker Hall Foundation for permission to use the photographs.

You loved words, the woods, community, caring, gardens and goodness. You had to leave but we’ll keep the message.

😊 if you asked me when I was 17 what I wanted to do with my life, I would have told you I want to be a farmer a teacher an environmentalist and a writer. It didn't work out that way for me but thank God we had Wendell Berry! I reread A Place on Earth, and I'm looking forward to his daughter's upcoming work revisiting The Unsettling of America.
