dearly beloved got me crying over here. Just got me thinking about how much Riku and Sora sacrificed in order to save eachother throughout the series. Riku literally cast himself into the realm of darkness to save Sora and Kairi. And Sora gives up his home and everything he knows just to search for a way to bring him home. That kind of loyalty and dedication to ones friends is rare in this world.

Can we all just appreciate scherzo di note.. it's clearly the best of this album even if the full battle theme wasn't played and cut short for some stupid reason. Just listen to how whimsical the woodwinds sound in this version. The drums, booming with absolute pride and power. Pure passion. The string instruments play in absolute tandem and harmony. The brass instruments are loud and proud with the small sound of the piano. Staying faithfully to the original and 1.5 versions of this song. A small sound, with a critical impact. This song, scherzo di notte, is not a joke of the night. It is a song of whimsy, brilliance, valor, pride, a song of radiance that certainly doesn't sound hollow. LET THE BATTLE THEME OF THE RADIANT BASTION BE RECOGNIZED AND KNOWN TO ALL OF THE KINGDOM HEARTS FAN BASE. RECOGNIZE SCHERZO DI NOTTE!!!!!!

My biggest flex as a KH fan is having attended the world tour orchestra in Munich in 2017 or 2018!

As a kid, I loved this series for its fun combat and disney characters. As a teenager, I loved the series for the final fantasy characters and aesthetics. As an adult, I love this series for the amazing music I have secretly cherished my whole life. During none of that time did I love this series for its writing, tho, lmao.

Dearly Beloved will never stop making me feel nostalgia, and also a bit of emptiness and sadness.
