They are affordable, and mostly proved they are worth buying

I never can thank enough when I discovered K-beauty like BOJ, Anua, Isntree, Skin 1004, Cosrx, Dear Klairs. My skin just love them and now I love my skin. Buy hey not everyone's skin can like just one brand you have to find what's best and works for you.

Koreans have properly educated us on how much Western cosmetics companies have been ripping us off... and Korean cosmetics are much, much better than theirs.

Please make it correct : There is no subsidy for K-beauty at all.

I have been trying out and purchasing Kbeauty products over 4~5 years now.
What I love about them is that there are so many options and choices.
I have very dry skin and dark spot issues. I didn’t have so many options to choose in Germany and the products I have tried are not always optimal or effective… Many of my friends are also using Kbeauty products so I do get their personal Feedbacks and tips as well.
My tip: sunscreen products in South Korea are the best

I am Korean and I have lived abroad since I was young. I used to buy and use cosmetics overseas, but one day I visited Korea and randomly bought some cosmetics. They were so good that I was surprised. I felt there was a clear difference in technology, so now I only want to use Korean products.

Most of the points are correct, but there are a few inaccuracies.
My postgraduate thesis actually covers this topic, so I’ve done extensive research on it.
The claims that there is a government subsidy and that there is no corporate tax are not accurate — this is fairly common knowledge.

What does exist is a VAT refund on exported goods. When Korean cosmetics companies export their products overseas, they receive a refund of the VAT; this is not a reduction or exemption of corporate tax.
VAT refunds on exports are a standard practice in virtually all countries worldwide.

As a kid growing up in the "West', I used to watch Korean dramas and movies and listen to Korean songs back in the late 80's and 90's because that's what my immigrant parents used to consume. I can vouch for Korea in saying that K-content was always good. It was only a matter of time for the world to discover it. With the advent of technology and internet and social media, great content will keep spreading and growing, K-content included.

Koreans have high standard when it comes to cosmetics. There are lots of Koreans who have very sensitive skin, so there is an app that rates all cosmetics by its ingredient to avoid cosmetics that have bad ingredients for their skin. Also we know higher price doesn't mean higher quality. So, better for your skin, but less expensive.

Reasonable price for variety to choose from and good quality control. I think that's what it is.

천연성분이 많이 들어서 품질좋고 가격도 저렴하면서 한국문화가 세계에 널리 퍼지니까 많이 팔리는거.

To sum up my experience: western skincare solves one problem and creates two more, korean skincare focuses on gentle long term solutions that rarely have side effects.
