  As a parent I really want to know how she got to think that tinder hookup culture was normal to begin with, in order to prevent that.

  I&apos;m in my early 40s and I used to think I was weird for not doing the hookup thing as a young man in college. &nbsp;Used to... after seeing where people are at today, I&apos;m glad I never bought into it.

  Ideally, young women would avoid this behavior altogether. Her telling her story is very important because it shows others who may regret their decisions they can change lanes and live healthier. Everyone is better off if we all live right. Thank you for sharing this.

  The fact that she considered herself woke and progressive shows you how that ideology can rationalize any number of behaviours, lines of thinking etc.

  Unrelated but I used to be a full-time working musician deep in the New Orleans party scene. Not the same / but very relatable. Was a full-on alcoholic - never partook in drug culture, but this story very much overlaps my journey as a full-time musician. Now I&apos;m 3 years sober in July and a follower of Buddhism. &quot;Never focus on the suffering, focus on the lessons learned from the suffering&quot;

  this woman blamed everyone except herself ... no accountability ... no one sold her anything ... she did what she did making her own secret choices

  Maya does such a great job with these interviews. &nbsp;She asks good questions and does a good job of letting the interviewee speak without interjecting her own answers. &nbsp;I would have asked two additional questions though:<br><br>1 - How has she assimilated into the Catholic church with her and her boyfriends backgrounds? &nbsp;I know a woman who could not marry in the Catholic church because even though she had been promiscuous and had a child as a single mother, her boyfriend was divorced and could not marry in the church. &nbsp;She could join the church and marry within the church but I don&apos;t believe he could even join officially.<br><br>2 - How does she feel about the tattoos now and how does she cope with them? &nbsp;They present an image of her that I am sure she would not want anymore.
