  I had never heard of Batten Disease. How truly sad for the children and the parents. Thank-you for sharing your story. What a beautiful child Zane was. I am so sorry for your loss.

  Thank you for sharing this. I am a private duty nurse currently taking care of a young child with this terrible condition. &nbsp;I&apos;m certainly not looking forward to what will come but I&apos;m glad to be here to support this sweet mom.

  Zane was an absolutely gorgeous happy little boy. He was the image of his father Trent. What an enormous tragedy and loss for the parents to endure.

  Never heard of this tragic disease. Thank you for such an enlightening video. Nothing is worse than losing your child no matter how old they are. My son has been gone 9 years now and the pain never leaves you. I know he’s in heaven as is your precious son. We will see them again. My heartfelt condolences to your family.   I lost my son from Late Infantile Batten disease Last year. This is heartbreaking :(<br>I&apos;m so sorry for your loss!

  Seeing this in 2026. I am so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful precious son. It breaks my heart that children still suffer to this day from this horrible disease. Praying they are getting closer to a cure!!
