  the crazy thing about yuzuru hanyu is that not only was he a revolutionary jumper but also had the most elegant skating skills.

  Honourable mention for the triple axel is Amber Glenn, who is now the oldest woman to land a triple axel at the Olympics!

  I think the craziest thing about Sasha that really just cements her legacy as an insane jumper is restoring her Triple Axel, Quad Lutz, and Quad Toe at her age. An age when nobody thought a woman could ever land a quad. And all three of them look better technique wise then before. And we still might see her restore the Flip and Sal as well.

  i know her technique is questionable but genuinely sasha trusova deserves credit for pushing the women’s discipline further, being one of the proponents in the women’s quad revolution.

  Midori ito is simply the greatest jumper in the women’s field, she advanced the sport technically from Calgary to Albertville Olympics, At the Calgary olympics, only a few even dared to complete the 5 triple jumps and she was the only one to successfully land a triple-triple, this led to a new batch of skaters who can do triple-triples, triple flip, lutz and axel (or quads) like Harding, Yamaguchi and Bonaly (all of which revolutionized the sport)<br><br>Another case of this domino effect was Sasha (Trusova) who I think was the catalyst of the quad revolution in the women’s event in the 2020s. Although her technique is not perfect, its definitely better than the other Eteri girls like Anna or Kamila (who had a strange axis in a lot of her jumps)

  Sometimes I wonder about what Midori Ito could have managed had she been born 20~30 years later. &nbsp;Is it known if she ever attempted quads in practice?

  Alexandra Trusova has restored her 4Lz. She’s landing it in training, and it hasn’t even been a year since she gave birth, which is honestly crazy. Kamila Valieva has also restored her 4T. But I don’t think either of them has landed these jumps in any Russian competition this season.
