  Addiction is no laughing matter. When Stan The Man Lee tackled this issue, he had some backlash, but he went on with it anyway. He took a stand.

  Batman's Venom addiction was insane and having him going through his detox after getting hooked on the drugs was wild.

  Amazing video.  As someone who has had issues with substance abuse,  I am glad to know that some of earth's mightiest heroes have some of the same problems as well.

  I felt so bad during the Venom storyline. Dr Porter used his own daughter just to manipulate Batman to testing his drugs. Porter was a monster, and in the end, he literally was

  I wasn't familiar with the Captain America meth storyline but that's very apt as the Germans developed it during WW2 to extend their soldiers endurance (actually it applies to the Batman and Hourman stories as well). Even they saw whatever benefits it gave soldiers was outweighed by the loss of control and discipline. The allies played with stimulants too, just not as much.

  As both someone in recovery and a comic nerd, I was happy to see this. I've been recovering for over 4 years now. And I don't know, I guess thinking it even gets superheroes makes me not feel like such a failure. No one gets hooked on purpose, but it's a part of human nature.

  Demon in a bottle is insane. I was/am an alcoholic. The fight never stops. But 4 years since i decided to stop. Some relapses happen but my best was 2 years sober. Seeing Iron man struggle like that made him one of my favorite marvel heroes.

  You left out in order for Captain America to deep the ice addiction, they had to give him a blood transfusion and drain the tainted blood out of him. That is why Tony made the Captain America battle armor the picture you showed in the beginning. It is a very good story and surprise ending on how cap got his abilities back.Because without the ceremony in him he got weaker and weaker and weaker.
