  I'm just about to start learning - I've found my daughter's sax in the wardrobe (she hasn't played for 15 years).  I'm going to learn and surprise her at her wedding in 11 months.

  I am 62 and started 3 months ago. Played never an instrument. Listened to the song spanish eyes, writing down the notes on my own and played it after 3 months this year

  I&apos;ve been playing for about a month and to be honest my sax has nearly ended up in the cupboard twice now (and I am a member of Sax School Online). I&apos;ve played guitar since I was 15, I&apos;m 62 now and I think that has it&apos;s advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are I already understand how music works although I can&apos;t read it, but the disadvantage is my musical brain is much more advanced than my fingers and mouth so I get frustrated easily. I really need to nail down consistent embouchure but it is very slowly improving.<br><br>I&apos;m currently playing round with blues scales and really enjoying my sessions thanks to Sax School Online. I&apos;m having so much fun improvising and it brings back memories of when I did this on guitar many years ago. <br><br>Anyway thanks Nigel and co for a very good course and I&apos;m confident I&apos;ll get into some sort of band within the year as that is my goal. Cheers.

  Great video, Nigel. I have played for 7-8 years now, and this autumn I have decided to start on Level 1 and go through EVERYTHING in SaxSchool Online. I have just finished level 1 and most of level 2 and I find lots of good stuff and songs and theory to refresh. I guess I am in level 4-5 but time will let me know. Just nice to do all the songs in there and go through all the theory again!<br>I&apos;ll keep you updated on my progress!<br>Arne from Norway

  American here. I started in my 3rd year in high school. One if my classmates taught me from scratch. I practiced every day and I got the basics down in about a week. It also really helped that I played the clarinet for quite some time. Love your videos, mate!

  It all depends on how much you practice a day , 2 hours a day will make you an intermediate player in 2 to 3 years.
