  The sign that it was gold before testing was the gemstone having an opening underneath. Real gemstones tend to have an opening underneath. If the gem is real, chances are the material is also real

  Nice thing about the dry is gold sinks fast. If it’s low and deep it’s probably gold.

  Coins are probably becoming a thing of the past since most people pay with their phones now. I was so happy you posted Carmel Beach. &nbsp;My late husband was a programmer who worked on Carmel&apos;s gray water system back in the 80s when Clint Eastwood was mayor. &nbsp; He stayed in a really cute hotel in Monterey across the street from the ocean. &nbsp;I think it was called Munras Lodge, with large rooms and gas fireplaces, which was pretty cool back then. &nbsp;I was between contracts and could stay with him for a week onsite that summer. His parents had also lived in Monterey during the early years of their marriage when his Dad was still enlisted, so it seemed a bit full circle for him to work there. &nbsp; Monterey, Carmel, and Big Sur hold such a special place in my heart
