6th point is such a sad truth.
Freedom based on trauma is just a cowardice.
Independence based on fear is just dependence on your trauma.
Avoidants just allow and worship their abusers by living their life the way it was formed under the rule of their tyrants. And as soon as echo of their previous oppressors commands, they hurt those they value because of comfortable slavery they chose over healing through uncomfortable effort.

I just want to say, all this avoidance is a big, huge waste of an occasion to be happy with someone and make the other person happy... And this is really SAD, almost cruel

The lesson I learned from my aoidant: they´re terrible people in every way on every level. There is not even the tiniest bit of good in them and they´d ideally be branded to keep them away from everyone else to stop them doing any harm!

The way i look at it from a healed FA perspective is i just shut out the voice in my head that fead doubt, lies, etc the deep thoughts. Started writting letters, helping strangers, relearning how to love myself and work towards a string future.

The saddest part 1.5 years ago i experienced my first panic attic, 6 months later got into a situationship with what ive come to learn is a DA and this smacked me over the top, the spiraling lasted about 3 months and now i have my head back in a good space and realized i went from being an FA to anxious when in a relationship.

Sucks for anyone going through the cycle, i now know how i made past relationships feal when i would ghost them or cut loose and now i know the correct way to engage an avoidant and offer reliable help if they so choose

That explains a lot about the man who withdrew from me very suddenly after 2 extremely intense months of dating. Especially the one about freedom being a core belief... While I could simultaneously sense that he craved connection and initimacy sooo much.
Btw.... Some of it also resonates for me (anxious leaning to desorganized 😵💫) and I now - despite of a lot of hurt and many tears over being abandoned (again) - realize that both he and I have a huge piece of work/healing to do, and that we were not good for each other at the present time. (And may never be - should we meet again later on after healing).

After 20 years of marriage he thinks I offended him because I told him about a Hallmark movie I saw and he did not feel good enough? He thought I was comparing our relationship. What gives

I was sitting in my room thinking I wish one of the people I follow on this topic would create a soft video that I could show my avoidant partner that would explain it to them in a way that they would have the highest chance of receiving. We are now roommates and barely speak but I see him in the living room just dead doom scrolling everyday. He recently started coming into my work and making a tiny effort towards me but it wasn’t from a healed place so I didn’t jump all over it like before so it faded away.
I am thinking this and literally click into YouTube to post a comment asking you to create such a video, it’s got to be short for his attention span and panic — packed full of concise information and carefully laid out from opening to closing.
At this point my hope is gone I would just be doing it from human to human not expecting any particular outcome at all.
It would take a miracle for me to consider him romantically again — it’s been 6 horrible years of this.
I forgot to say — then I see this video AT THE TOP OF MY FEED. Goosebump moment!!!!
