  My favorite bit of LoV lore comes from the only novel about them, the High Kâhls Oath. The Kin really like getting drunk, because of course they do, but the ironkin can&apos;t drink, so some of them will install malware that disrupts their programing in a way that is supposed to simulate drunkenness. The main Ironkin character in the book finds this unpleasant and prefers to just watch his friends get drunk.<br><br>Edit: I just reread this book and forgot the best part. The ironkin in question does this so he can recount what happened to his kin who were too drunk to remember, and, and this is a direct quote, &quot;sometimes he even did the voices&quot;

  I like that they mine Tyranids. And it&apos;s not even a particularly challenging job. They just blow up external turrets, wander into the bioship, and blow up the things that the nids use for navigation, before selling the entire bioship for organic material to make more kin

  When the Leagues first came out, I thought the idea of the Votann Ancestor Cores being venerated like gods to be silly. Then I saw how techbros go absolutely dependent upon and insane for mere LLMs, and suddenly it stopped being silly and felt properly Grimdark. Funny how things change in only a couple of years.<br><br>I also do like that Necromunda&apos;s Ironhead Squats are basically more &quot;traditional&quot; Squats because they LOST their ancestor core, so they haven&apos;t had their cultural evolution so drastically influenced by the Votann. They HAVE to reproduce regularly for one, and based on the Ironhead aesthetic (the old Squat Biker look) it appears to me that the Votann Ancestor Cores themselves just really like egg shapes, probably similar to how Evolution just really, really likes turning invertebrates into crabs.

  On Votann grudges- it could be a matter of iterated game theory. &nbsp;Basically, if you develop a reputation for going completely apeshit on anyone who seriously does you wrong, then people will generally avoid doing that, leaving you expending less resources protecting yourself in the long run.
