I did a similar route through East Hokkaido back in May, was absolutely spectacular. Would recommend to anyone looking for something off the beaten path.

Thank you John and Peter for sharing this brilliant adventure, I absolutely loved this 2 part series. There is so much beauty in this part of the world that I one day hope to see for myself in person. I remember your winter livestream from Lake Akan 3 years ago and it was great to see it in a different season. There are so many highlights that you packed into this video but a particular one for me was seeing your return meeting with Melon Kuma, looks like you have a friend for life in him John. Excellent work gentleman, excellent. Best wishes to you both and your families.
