  I’ve read the Bible in a year for the past 10 or 12 years (I’m not very good with math). I’m able to say that it has transformed my spiritual life and made me grow. <br>This being said, I agree that this was needed for me for a time, but I will switch to reading a book over and over and over again. I think this is much needed at this point in my life and thank you for this advice !

  I’m following a YouTube channel by a guy who was raised in a Christian Cult and he got to the point where he had had enough of the things he could see were wrong with the teachings of the Cult and how the leaders didn’t live as if they believed their own teachings. He left and for the first time in his life, read the Bible through, from Genesis to Revelation and then did it again. And again. And again, over and over, until he got rid of all the false teachings that he’d grown up believing. He was prepared to discard everything he had learned and approached the Bible without any preconceptions. As much as possible. It’s really interesting to watch him change from day to day, from just a cynical ex-cult member, to someone who knows what the Bible says on a number of issues. He’s learning who Jesus really is and who God really is. It’s really good to see.

  I honestly don&apos;t think Sean is advocating for us to stop reading the entire Bible through. What I&apos;m hearing is slow down, savor, linger, get to reallly know the Word, &nbsp;to infuse the truth of who God is, to learn to love Him. Then works will flow naturally because of the work of the Holy Spirit in your soul. In other words, take more time to go through the Bible so you truly know the One who inspired it.

  Stop reading the Bible in a year? I agree that we should get in depth with studies of a single book at a time and I like the suggested approach of repeating a book for a while. However, reading through the Bible has its purpose and it&apos;s a wonderful one at that. It allows you to read through the whole arc of the Bible and see the connections between books and between old and new testament. It encourages you to read books you otherwise wouldn&apos;t be inclined to read (e.g., Numbers, Leviticus, Lamentations). And it helps you to know God better. There is nothing wrong with doing both.

  This helped me so much, Sean! Thank you! This was exactly what I needed to hear explained! It is so encouraging with everything that&apos;s been going on (mentally and spiritually) to be given the okay to just stop, be still, and just study slowly until I actually know Scripture. To study to show myself approved. Thank you!

  I started doing this with Paul&apos;s epistles in February. It is life-changing to read the Bible this way.

  Yes, bearing spiritual fruit comes through the continual filling of the Holy Spiri, &nbsp;those wonderful blessings of demonstrating love, &nbsp;joy, &nbsp;peace, &nbsp;patience kindness, goodness, faithfulness, &nbsp;gentleness, &nbsp;and self control.

  This was really, really good. I will say that one can read the Bible in a year and also study or be &apos;parked&apos; in a book. I&apos;ll definitely be watching this again with the passage open so I can take notes in my Bible. Thank you Sean!

  I absolutely love to Sean&apos;s teachings❤<br>So don&apos;t get me wrong. If the only way that you are reading God&apos;s word is using read the Bible in a year, continue to do so. God can speak to your heart through this type of reading and move you onto more deep readings. Also don&apos;t just believe what one teacher teaches. Find out what other good teachers have to say. Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance as you do your research. <br>Make sure you read God&apos;s word daily 🙏

  I have read the Bible in a year for the past 4 years now(yes this was a bold statement to stop doing this) 😁. At 67 years old I am so glad I have done this. God has taught me through the O.T. how desperately we needed Jesus and how overflowing His grace and mercy are to me! And all of us!! I am going to practice one book at a time as suggested! Thank you!
