  We were so fortunate to have listened to her encouraging &nbsp;words at our University graduation, and then to have met her personnally at &nbsp;the Alumni House . So many of us, and she was gracious to every one. At that time, we were not really aware of all Eleanor Roosevelt had accomplished on our behalf. She died a few years after &nbsp;her visit , and through the ensuing years, we ,as a Nation, gradually came to understand what a truly unique and shining example she was for the entire world.

  I hope one day when I leave this earth I get to meet Eleanor Roosevelt, Franklin D Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Ann Richard’s, Jimmy Carter, Rosalyn Carter, and so many other great Americans..

  Thank you for sharing as I had been looking to watch this for quite a while. Frightening to compare the current First Lady with Eleanor….she’d be turning in her grave seeing what’s become of the USA today.

  I really admire Eleanor. Great people come out of such bleak childhood experiences--Lincoln&apos;s father beat him, and tried to block education; Nelson Mandela wad imprisoned for years etc, etc. Where does greatness come from?? &nbsp;Great people see the world in a different way and they use their own sorrow to have compassion for others suffering.
