  Thank you for not supporting horse drawn carriages. Seems foreign tourists are the main customers. Poor horses.

  I take the yellow cab if I am visiting NYC from JFK. Used to live in Brooklyn where I used "Gypsy" cabs A LOT so much cheaper. But I mainly used a pretty well know company everytime for pick up. But mostly I walked, Brooklyn and NYC is walkable just depends on health, weather, and your personal situation. Peace out

  Be alert when crossing the street at an intersection. I've seen cars run red lights. I've also seen pedestrians jay walk into oncoming traffic.

  May I add: SUPER high curbs! .....Here In Toronto the curbs dip down to nothing where you cross the street but in NYC they were so high, I tripped and smashed my face/chin on the ground and had to wear a huge bandaid on my chin the whole time I was there.lol

  Well, here is a new tip for you whatever you do when you get to the airport do not try to get scammed by a taxi cab. I already went to JFK and I already got scammed with over $500 in tax after they forced me to pay extra when I was at the toll but good thing I did not even think about buying it because that will literally wait all my money.

  This is helpful because my daughter and I are taking a trip to Mid Manhattan next year. We’re originally from Chicago so we’re familiar with a large city but NYC will be a little bit different, lol!
