My Sister Was Named After a Boston Song 🎶 | Missioned Souls 'Long Time' Reaction

Patreon: OverthinkingWithDennis This one came in through Buy Me a Coffee. Superfly Lee — you had no idea what you were sending me into. Here's what you need to know before we get into it: my dad was a huge Boston fan. And my little sister — she was named after a Boston song. So "Long Time" wasn't just a song I grew up hearing. Boston lives in a part of my memory that I rarely talk about on this channel. A part that belongs to people I've lost. And then Missioned Souls sat down together — a family — and played it like they'd been carrying it their whole lives too. I've said before that the hardest thing in music is doing justice to something iconic. Most artists don't. They find the sounds they can handle and build around the rest. Missioned Souls doesn't do that. They find every single detail in the arrangement — and they play all of it. Naces barely blinks through that keyboard intro. Neisha is so relaxed it almost doesn't look fair. Ice is in his own world and somehow that's exactly what the song needs. They did it justice. And it meant something to me.
