  You guys are an inspiration. Thanks for the information you provide on your channel. It's a lot of fun. My wife and I did pretty well in 2024 on our first trip to Italy. We spent 6 days in Rome and didn't cram things together. We walked everywhere. We spent an entire day to visit the Colloseum, the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Then another entire day to see the Vatican, Vatican Museum and St Peter's Basilica. Then on the other days we took our time to see smaller sites like the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain the Spanish Steps, Circus Maximus, and Castel Sant'Angelo. So much to see just walking around. Lots of gelato stops. Our hotel was in Trastevere. On the same trip we took a 10 day cruise from Barcelona to Civitavecchia that stopped in Naples and Sicily. We would like to go back to spend more time in Pompeii and Herculaneum. We plan to do the same pace on our next trip to Italy, but this time to see Florence, Pisa and Tuscany. We would like to see Venice too. Maybe it will be an overnight trip from Florence.

  Bravissimi come sempre! Non saprei mai e poi mai essere cosi precisa nel descrivere pro e contro dei viaggi e soggiorni in Italia. Come dico sempre, pur essendo nata, cresciuta e invecchiata in Italia, non ho le conoscenze approfondite e specifiche che avete sempre voi. Approvo al 100% tutto quello che dite, descrivete e consigliate sull'Italia e gli italiani. Siete i miei "italiani" preferiti.👏👏👏

  Traveling as a solo lady I’ve found the hotel staff in my (usually smaller) hotels incredibly helpful. For example I’m flying into Palermo in a couple of months. Coming from Vancouver BC I’ll be very tired and jet lagged and have decided to have a car & driver meet me at the airport. On line the cost would be €70 to €75. The hotel has arranged a pickup for €50. Going from my hotel in Venice by water taxi to the airport was about €15 cheaper than booking on line when arranged by the hotel. Also getting a transport pass for Venice or Rome was very convenient and took a level of stress away about whether I’d get lost wandering the city. Lost in Venice?  Get on a vaporetto.
