Rory mentioning that he watched a lot of the Augusta Women’s Am two weeks earlier and specifically recalling the winning putt from that event to inform the most important short putt of his life is true student of the game stuff

Hate him or love him, seeing Rory win on Sunday last year was one of the greatest moments in sports

My wife and I were in the labor & delivery room watching all day Saturday while waiting for the big moment.

My daughter was born late Saturday night.

I was able to watch Rory's entire Sunday round with my wife alongside and my daughter in my arms.

Easily the best day of my life.

(Her first birthday party next weekend may or may not be golf themed 🙏)

Obvious to say, but this really was one of the most extraordinary rounds of golf ever played.

Watching the best player of his generation flirt with triumph and disaster with pretty much every swing of the club whilst under the most unimaginable pressure was sport at its very, very best. In watching him, you learn something about both yourself and the human will to persevere and to push on despite everything inside screaming at you to run away.

Seeing Rory conquer his demons that Sunday and in the way in which he did it was life affirming.
