I remember when Jack Benny died. It was the day after Christmas 1974. That night there was an hour-long TV special devoted to him. The second I heard the first few screeching notes of "Love in Bloom" to introduce the show, I felt the tears pouring out of my eyes. He gave me so many laughs for so many years. Some of the obituaries actually said "He was 39." What a great tribute to his comedy.

There are no words to adequately describe Jack Benny. I remember when he walked on the stage at the London Palladium and just stood there for about 2 minutes…with that look…but we were in stitches laughing….He didn’t have to say a word…Wonderful man…

I've watched Jack Benny since I was a kid. I'm so glad that we have these reruns. I can enjoy him all over again. He is timeless.

When Jack Benny appeared on stage or on a radio or TV program, the audience already knew and loved his character. That’s why he could get waves of laughter by doing absolutely nothing.

His timing was impeccably masterful. He was supported by top notch writers, and surrounded by very talented actors. They genuinely loved the man, and returned the love and support he first showed them.

There was no one like him, and there never will be.
