  If the Protestant belief is that “anyone who simply acknowledges and accepts Jesus Christ as our savior is therefore forever saved” then why are some trying to hard to steer people away from Orthodoxy? Unless they actually do believe we are not Christians…

  Thank You Father Heers for teachings, im a catechumen now, thank God CHRIST IS RISEN and Orthodoxy I have found to be the FULLEST of all truth..the MISSING PARTS OF MY HEART! im a former Protestant, church of Christ, and converted Catholic...also Hebrew roots the last 7 years, I found your videos and others in the Orthodox world...and the BIBLE has new life! and ive been reading all of the church fathers and counsels,  have already changed my life !! and im just starting, please pray for me and my family, I have 7 children please pray for them as well...MAY GOD BLESS YOU FATHER

  Gavin is doing this new apologetics tour speaking with some of the powerful voices in orthodoxy and in every one he feels the need to monologue a disclaimer that he is simply asking questions in good faith. Nobody can know his heart, but when we explain the same things to him over and over and he acts as though he cannot comprehend the message, it gets to a point… Pageau and Fr. SDY are being as gracious as they can, but Ortlund has such a deep, financial, and vested interest in Protestantism, it is hard to understand his objectives. God’s will be done, either way. It will bring more people to Orthodoxy one way or another. Thank you for what you do, Father Peter.

  Την ευχή σας πατερ Πέτρο.<br>Μία μαρτυρία από την οικογένειά μου:<br>Η γιαγιά μου ήταν βαπτισμένη Ορθόδοξη και είχε καταγωγή απο την Αλβανία. Δεν ήξερε να διαβάζει, και ποτέ της δεν είχε διαβάσει ούτε μια λέξη απο τη Γραφή. Δεν καταλάβαινε ούτε τα λόγια των ιερών ακολουθιών. Και όμως , δεν έχανε καμία ιερή ακολουθία, και κοινωνούσε τακτικά κάνοντας 3ήμερες νηστείες! Και αξιώθηκε να της πει η Παναγία την ώρα που θα πέθαινε. Έτσι, ενώ δεν είχε κανένα πρόβλημα υγείας, ένα πρωί σηκώθηκε, λούστηκε χτενιστηκε, φόρεσε τα καλά της ρούχα, ξάπλωσε στο κρεβάτι σταύρωσε τα χέρια της και απλά κοιμήθηκε. Αυτή τη σχέση που έχουμε οι Ορθόδοξοι με την Παναγία και τους,Άγιους μας, οι Προτεστάντες δεν πρόκειται ποτέ να την καταλάβουν.

  Thank you so much for this, Fr &nbsp;Peter. These conversations happen frequently for us Orthodox converts who have Protestant family and friends. I greatly appreciate the clarity you bring to these issues in the light of the Fathers and the saints. There is no comparison to the experience of Christ as a Protestant and as an Orthodox. As you said, some of these things are known through experience, and I pray that Gavin and all those truly seeking will one day have this experience of Jesus Christ.

  A lot of Gavin&apos;s conversations rely on his interlocutors not pushing back against the heart of his invisible church and Calvinist/enlightenment presuppositions. Those are the basis of his emotional appeal of <b>gasp</b> &quot;you don&apos;t think I&apos;m a Christian??&quot; and he can&apos;t be granted that.

  I was so looking forward to have father Peter reacting to Gavin! Hopefully they can have a discussion face to face. I think no one can state the truth about Orthodoxy to Gavin better than father Peter. It’s not about just academic knowledge but patristic knowledge and understanding. It’s sad that Gavin can’t understand patristic theology as it is but trying to fit it into his theology and understanding.

  VERY GRATEFUL for the ORTHODOX ETHOS library where your lecture on &quot;The Truth of Our Faith&quot; with Elder Cleopa of Romania can be found. This Western / Protestant ethos infiltration from un-catechised Orthodox has a dulling effect. I am re-listening to it (starting....since it is multiple lessons) to go back to my &apos;catechism&apos; here with OE (2024) that prepared me for my baptism (1/2026). Too easy to get secularised if we aren&apos;t vigilant. Thank you Fr. Peter ! ! !
