  Thanks Mark  , Those Bafang kits requires some minor adjustment to bikes which is why it's so much fun to install.

  I also had the problem to insert the motor due to obstruction inside the bottom bracket shell.  I never tried to force it in but instead I looked inside the shell and saw the screw for the gear cable. I simply removed the screw a little bit and again tried to insert the motor. And it still would not go in. Then I used a handfile for metal to carefully even the surface of the shell since it obviously had to be uneven inside as it stopped after inserting it 44 mm.  That did it and now  the motor fit the bike perfectly. It sits really tight with a good chainline as I was able to insert it to the bottom of the downtube. (As for the gear cable screw I used the handfile to reduce it such that it could not obstruct the insertion of the motor)  My experience as a first time installer of a mid motor is that the shell can easily be made even with a good  standard file for metal, if necessary. I used a file that was part of a set of 5pcs  20 cm metal files  that cost me USD 10 in a nearby shop.

  Did you fir a gearshift sensor? And can you adjust how much power the thumb throttle provides?

  Were any of the batteries able to fit the inner frame? Mine is similar to this bike with frame being small..
