A State Says Black Panthers Never Existed — The Reports Never Stopped

  The state says it never happened. The newspapers from January nineteen fifty four are still there, and the headline the whole thing ended on has a question mark in it. If you've seen one in North Carolina, tell me the county and roughly what year. I read every one of these.

  😮 Well, I do not know what state that you all live in. But I do know in south-central Kentucky, for fact, because when we were about 9 years old, we had a black panther on our mountain out at all valley in Wayne County, Monticello, Kentucky, and they hunted it for 6 months, but they could never catch it.  They killed many dogs. It killed many animals, but they never caught it. And recently, in the southern tip of Tennessee up in even up into part of the Nashville area where the mountains are high and heavy black panthers have been seen on trail cameras. Now that's not known miss, it's a fact they have the pictures to prove it.  And the fact that we know it is because we were outside playing on a sweet summer night. It was too hot to go to sleep and mother allowed us to stay up and just as dusk was hitting and dark was falling. We heard the most horrible blood-curdling scream that sounded like a woman being murdered , 😢My father told my mother to get us in the house. Shut the doors, close the windows and not let anyone out. My grandfather, my father and my older brother, they got the guns and the dogs, and they hit the mountain, and the dogs run it for 3 hours when they came back home, dad said that he saw it twice.  And thought it was going to turn back around and come back on them, but the dogs changed it and ran it off. Now, that was in 1963, if we saw one and heard 1, then what makes you think they don't exist now?

  Changes in era of greater or lesser cats and animals can bring colors not seen and vast migration as we are so seeing in USA with any animals.

  There is one animal that crushes skulls and breaks jaws. It does the same thing to caimans in South America. The French shot a natural coated jaguar here in NC several centuries ago. They called it a Tyger. Tyger with a ,Y. Later it hunted them in LA. They called it the Rougarou, and it killed quite a few of the French. It was a black panther, a melanistic jaguar. The Carolina Panther exists.

  I saw 4 cougars in yancey County NC between 1980 and 1995 .the first one was chasing a deer and was the biggest one. The second one walked with me almost every night for years in the 1980s. He weighed about 120 pounds and on one occasion we were within 3ft of each other. It was a toss up which one was the most startled.he jumped about 35 feet straight up the mountain side and that was the only time he ever screamed ,snarled, what ever you want to call it. The third one was black, and was the only one that was stalking me. It also was about 120 pounds. The third one was the smallest, no more than 70lbs walked across the road in front of me. That's the ones that I have seen. Same old straw man where are your pictures?when you see one they don't stand still and pose. By the time you get your camera out they are gone. Also every one that I have seen was within 100yds of a house, they live among us, they see us all the time, we very rarely see them.
