My favorite direct quote from all these ancient inscriptions is "I AM AN EXCELLENT PERSON"

This was delightful. The joy of a child-king shines brilliantly despite the distance and ravages of time.

Harkhuf: Endlessly lists his grandiose titles, achievements, and virtues. Gives every impression of a man fully convinced of his own importance and that he has a sacred duty to inform everyone else of it.
Also Harkhuf: Gives pride of place on his mortuary inscription to a letter from a 6-year old boy squealing about a novelty souvenir he brought back.

This might very well be the most wholesome history video I've ever watched.

It IS so human. It IS so poignant. A child pharaoh is truly thrilled to be receiving a Pygmy dancer. What a thing to read after all this time.

It puts a smile on my face that this was the most important thing. Kids are still kids even if they sit on the throne.

This was a fun listen this morning. I'm glad the young king could still very clearly be a child excited by something new. Also, I rather enjoyed the fun title for this one. Thank you.
Jesus Christ be with you out there, everybody. :)
