The better help ad was scarier than the movie itself

I like how the mom is actually a good fighter and can do pretty okay in combat even with little materials...

so the writers nerfed her

Creating traumatic events around childish comforts is probably one of worst things to be subjected to.

"If he keeps his bow drawn and ready to fire". Ah, yes, because there's nothing like exhausting yourself for no reason. Those are not crossbows, drawing a bow is like lifting a child.

I think Jimmy went mad because his father told him it was the rapture and since he hasn’t been “chosen” by God he probably sees this as his personal hell

It honestly baffled me the kid didn't think of going solo, getting the doctor and bring him to the village to do a medical checkup on his mom.

It's not like the doctor would deny it and it'd be 10x safer.

I get it’s the zombie apocalypse but the dad could have waited a few more years to traumatize his kid. By then the mom would have probably been dead and the kid would have had no reason to leave on his own. What possible difference could two years have made.

Spike burned their supplies and was essentially having plot armour, yet he can intimidate his father.
