  This is the most hilarious moment in all of Zelda boss fights. It makes you say &apos;excuse me what the fuck&apos; in the best way possible.

  That health bar really helps contextualize why the sages+Rauru couldn&apos;t damage him. They probably were but he was so ridiculously strong that it didnt matter.

  Another fun fact; while the other sages attack the phantom ganons first, Mineru will ALWAYS go for the real guy. Wether this be because she recognizes him as the real one or knows him more personally and resents him for taking away her brother, sister-in-law and forcing Zelda into that ultimatum as much as we would after witnessing the memories and kindess they showed us and Zelda, or a combo of both.

  If the bar stayed the same, and Link just seemingly did less damage, it would feel like the player was somehow weaker. That’s not so fun. But with the larger health bar, we get a feeling of “HOW THE HELL IS HE EVEN STRONGER!?” which is not only more fun and surprising, but really sets the challenge of beating Ganondorf.

  They could have centered the health bar, and had it just start farther left. Most games would have. But this subversion of expectations just does so much to intensify the feeling of Ganondorf&apos;s power. The health bar reaches where it should end, and then it just doesn&apos;t.<br><br>This is one of my favourite parts of Tears of the Kingdom. It&apos;s funny, but also menacing as fuck. It establishes a feeling of tension befitting of a final boss, using purely the average person&apos;s knowledge of game design. No words, and yet these few seconds before phase 2 say more than anything Ganondorf could have said.
