  This was vintage Seles. Playing Steffi here in Melbourne brought back all the good memories. Fun fact this win was Monica’s 33rd straight victory in the Australian Open up until the next match against Hingis she was undefeated.

  We were really robbed of what could've been an extraordinary rivalry. These 2 were out of their primes here & still showcasing excellent rallies. Glad for what we got but deserved so much more.

  The great classic of the 90s. Seles couldn't have more precision on the ball because he couldn't do it anymore. It's incredible how perfect his shots are... it's a shame that a great classic like this has been interrupted by a senseless terrorist attack. We could have seen more moments like this, unique in the history of this sport

  Congrats to Monica, she played an incredible match! And this of one of the biggest fans of Steffi! Myself! Over all these years I had to change my mind! Monica was an honest and unbelievably component! Still feel ashamed about the attack in Hamburg. Im so so incredibly sorry! 😭😭
