  You guys are taking this &apos;puppet&apos; thing way out of context. That entire narrative comes from one tweet by Takaya Imamura, who said: &apos;What I felt upon seeing this character model (of Link) is that Miyamoto-san&apos;s love of puppet dramas (ningyogeki) is strongly reflected here too!&apos; He literally made a follow-up post clarifying that he was just speculating. Imamura doesn&apos;t even work at Nintendo anymore and had absolutely nothing to do with this remake. It’s not an official art direction statement; it’s just one former dev&apos;s personal reaction that people are now running into the ground as absolute fact.

  Also want to comment that I have been a professional artist and designer for almost 30 years and I don&apos;t feel the art style is inconsistent at all. I like that Links outfit and gear is far more detailed. It shows that his people and village have a lot of culture and it looks hand-made which is exactly what it would look like. Zelda&apos;s outfit is far more refined because she is a princess and lives in an area that would have access to far better produced fabrics. Ganondorf does look slightly different than his previous designs in the face but he will stand out differently than Zelda or Link, he is a different race after all. The NPC&apos;s have typically always looked different in the games. The NPC&apos;s in BoTW look VERY different from Link or Zelda. The attention of detail will also vary between NPC&apos;s as some are less important than others. You see this in animation and stop motion. Like I have said, art is subjective and it is fine for people to not like this style but I also think people are thinking about this way to hard and over analyzing it. I think people are more upset that it wasn&apos;t tailor-made for them to match the vision they had in their head. <br><br>Also Link does blend into the forest but its not like you will always be in the forest. I think their will be plenty of contrast between you and environment as the game progresses. Not to mention blending into the forest is likely intentional and a defensive measure by those who live in forested areas. Game wont be for everyone but I am looking forwarded to playing what they have made.

  Hear me out on the tunic or tunics if you will. I like them. I think it is good that each tunic is designed for the region they are from. You can see that the regular, green, tunic has almost a leaflike look to it. and then you see parts of the red tunic and it almost has a royal look and a flame design at the bottom where the .....flaps? or whatever they are called are at. And the blue tunic has an aquatic vibe to it. I think it is cool that each tunic has a unique look to where they are used and come from.

  I personally think the games graphics will grow on everyone. it’s like &nbsp;the wind waker all over again. I thinks it’s absolutely beautiful but I do see your points also.

  I love the art style. It looks like puppets and stop motion and reminds me of the old western fantasy movies I grew up with in the 70&apos;s and 80&apos;s. I think people who don&apos;t like that style or didn&apos;t grow up with that may not like it. I am old lol. This game was likely designed for old gamers like me. Art is subjective but I can&apos;t wait to play this and for once we have something newish looking and it&apos;s not just the same old soulless typical anime style. Can not wait. Guess it just isn&apos;t for everyone and that&apos;s ok.
