  if you make another attempt definitely try building it over the course of like a week instead. to strengthen and insulate it, take some of the clay-heavy mud from by the water to fill gaps between the wood, then when a wall is done coat the outside face with the same kind of mud. you can also gather some stones to press into that mud (putting clay-mud layers between those as well) to reinforce the exterior. this way you can work at a more reasonable pace and get a better result. also if you can find flexible twigs, remove the leaves, shave off knobs and other deformities, and then weave them to make a sort of makeshift thatching for the roof (which can also be slanted, but I'd recommend making the low wall about the height of the wall from this video). you can also take some trees and cut them into chunks about an arm's length before splitting them in half to produce a flattened side; take some water to make the interior floor muddy before pressing these in flat side up and you'll have a rough wooden floor which can be smoothed with a knife or, if you want to bring another tool, sandpaper

  by the way, I recommend watching the original Primitive Technology. his content is actually real and he has a lot of useful tips and tricks like how to make clay. i recommend you turn on captions for his videos.
