For a long time, ABBA was everybody's guilty pleasure, and then one day everyone just quit feeling guilty about it.

It's a mature, adult response to heartache, not coming from a teenage mindset.

Writing catchy lyrics in what  is  your  second  language is not to be  underestimated.

A beautiful, heartbreaking song. Especially considering it was happening as it was being written and recorded.

Any group that puts out so many hits that they can use them to create an entire stage musical (and movie) with the songs is more than most groups could ever claim.

I think this song is S Tier personally. Id also recommend "Knowing Me, Knowing You" and "SOS" and "When All Is Said & Done" as other brilliant breakup songs. Pure pop gems. Then there are the dance classics as well, like Dancing Queen. Lay All Your Love On Me, Gimme Gimme Gimme , Summer Night City etc. Great songs like Name Of The Game and The Day Before You Came. ABBA are pure class. Enjoy a deep dive guys. :)

"Building me a home, thinking I'd be strong there..." ugh. These lyrics are shattering.

It's simple. ABBA needs an S+ category. Solved!

Abba had a string of primarily upbeat, fun hits in the 70s like “Take a Chance on me” and “Dancing Queen.” In 1980 they switched to a more serious theme with this song.  There was a bit of a mixed reaction to this more serious Abba song.  Frankly, I always thought they hit it out of the ballpark with this one.

So awesome that it’s cool to love ABBA again. Their number of S Tier songs is staggering.

I was one of those guys who growing up thought they were uncool. But now I really appreciate their songwriting and Agnetha's and Frida's voices are spectacular.
