  I got the chance to be in a practice with a police K9 and having it catch my arm. The instructor told the dog to go easy and just the pressure, not a bite, was powerful!!

  I don&apos;t think my Malinois could handle jumping out of a plane...and also getting commands by anyone but me and not over my not being there. &nbsp; I love my dog...she is unique...and she is NOT a military or Police dog. &nbsp; But I am amazed at her natural actions.

  Dogs are naturally athletic and loyal. I would imagine that the ability to stay calm under fire is the most difficult thing to learn. That’s what they have to screen out for. That’s the natural response to shit going down that you have to train to remain calm. All the rest is athletics. The dogs have natural athletic ability German Shepherd and similar dogs are already insanely, smart and loyal. Humans go through four months of basic training for them to learn how to have composure in military situations.

  Don’t call the dogs most expendable by Design you can send in a robotic snake that is expendable. The dog is not expendable and is the accumulative investment of thousands of hours of training. &nbsp;The biting hold of a target and not letting go. There was once a toy poodle caught in the jaws of some kind of pitbull mix. It took five adults and a metal pipe to pry the dog loose. That’s a natural instinct to stay calmer, letting it go is the thing that you trained for.

  Some Malinois just like some people are not good for Combat...but like soldiers that have to go through very basic training...they are SO VERY SMART. &nbsp;When I watch my Malinois and she gets loose because a stranger reacts with fear, which she can smell...she will go after them. &nbsp; I TELL THEM DO NOT MOVE...which gives me a chance to get a handle on her. &nbsp; SHE WILL NOT BITE IF THEY DON&apos;T MOVE...but you can&apos;t outrun her and if she thinks you are a danger to me...and the only way she knows is if she can smell the persons fear. &nbsp;She takes that as adverse and wonders WHY WOULD THAT FEAR SMELL be around ME. &nbsp; <br>I fell down one time and she couldn&apos;t help me get up and a couple of neighbors came to help me...I had been hollering help for two hours...and they finally heard me. <br>The lady asked when they came (complete strangers) if the dog was safe...I assured them she was...and told her where the handle was hanging on the doorknob...she went and got it, totally calm, and put the DOG IN THE HOUSE and then THE TWO OF THEM helped me, a dead weight. &nbsp; I wasn&apos;t HURT, I just couldn&apos;t get up. &nbsp;My malinois never left my side for two hours.
