I found it very refreshing to get a bit of a new perspective on the Weimar Republic, at least on some aspects. <br>I enjoyed it particularly, how Frank narrated these time period in a very nice conversation tone, beautifully making an arc over 15 years.

Well, that was a "tour de force" by Prof. McDonough. Marvelous.

Wonderful show, the conversational tone was top notch. Thank you Woody and Dr. McDonough. Sobering historical context for current assaults on democracy.

One thing I would like to add regarding "Babylon Berlin": I have not watched the series, because I did not want to spoil the excellent pictures and storytelling that I got from Volker Kutscher's books, that are the basis for the series. In the books it is masterly shown, how the Nazis, from novel to novel first have the power on the streets, then gradually spread their tentacles through the Prussian Police, the State's institutions and society as a whole. I can only recommend these books. The glamorous side of Berlin plays a role from time to time, but often in connection with the underworld.

A brilliant presentation, I cant wait for the WHW recording now. Dr M explains things in a clear and concise way which gives an understanding while not over complicating matters. I need his book!

That was a fantastic talk about a consequential time between the 2 wars. Prof. McDonough needs to come back to take a deeper dive.
