  The &quot;criminal&quot; defense lawyers are calling for the law to be amended, &nbsp;to allow judges to have discretion when sentencing illegal gun carriers. Here&apos;s what I think.<br>The way the law is currently written, the criminal lawyers cannot bribe judges into giving their high paying clients lighter sentences for gun convictions &nbsp;because of the 15 years mandatory sentence.<br> Criminal lawyers, all of Jamaica and Jamaicans around the world now see clearly how corrupt you all are and how you all profits from crime. You never said a word when Jamaicans were being murdered over 1000 and up to 1600 annually.<br>Mr Holness, please listen to the voters, and not the criminal lawyers who benefits from crime, murder and mayhem.

  These lawyers over estimate their own brilliance and importance. I love how they play with words. There is no evidence to prove that the laws help to reduce crime. Ok, is there any evidence to prove the laws did NOT help to reduce gun crime? Crime reduction is a combination of factors the new mandatory laws are one of those factors. These criminal lawyers thrive off chaos and death. Their pockets are taking a hit. Plain and simple.

  Do no take a knee Mr Prime Minister! This is a ray of hope particularly for Jamaicans in the diaspora, who are constantly inundated with news of despair, which leads to fear of returning home. This law reduces, bribery of law enforcement, lawyers, judges etc. Is this really a factor for those who opposed the law ?
