  Mate, don’t know if you’re gonna read this and if you’ll remember me. I’m the asian bloke that spoke to you just as we stepped out of the airplane in Sao Paulo. <br>What you’ve done here is far beyond a doco on Jaçanã. You gave these people something they never get, recognition. Someone from the outside that sees them for who they are and not for where they live. I can guarantee this is one of the few times they met someone who just trusted them with a camera, spoke to them eye to eye, to the point the language barrier didn’t get in the way. <br>Glad you didn’t cut short the soccer match, to them be seen by the world doing something they love meant the world.   Man, they don&apos;t have much these kids but look at the smile on all their faces. They have something so special that I think in this society has lost - connection, community and belonging. This was one of my fav episodes. Thank you for sharing this Spanian.

  I&apos;m Living in Australia for about 5 Years so far and I&apos;m from São Paulo and also I came from a place like this, but different Neighborhood, different place, but same problem. I&apos;ve worked very hard to save money to come here and I&apos;m really grateful because now I can support my mom, without this opportunity my life could be different in Brazil!!!

  You should set up a donation page for the kids football team to buy new equipment I’d happily donate, this was probably the best in to the hood so far 👌
