PENSION UNTER PALMEN: Bilanz nach 11 Monaten Da Nang Vietnam

Emigrating to Vietnam and retiring in Asia: Gunnar has been living as a retiree in Da Nang for 11 months and gives an unvarnished account (pros & cons). Is retirement abroad really paradise, or is there a lot of frustration lurking behind the facade? New channel: https://www.youtube.com/@samyundmarku... In this documentary about emigration, we talk about the hard facts: Gunnar had to view 40 apartments to avoid mold traps, ended up in the hospital with a herniated disc, and draws a clear line under "toxic" German emigrants who live in paradise but only complain about their homeland. A real talk about the actual costs, escaping the debilitating stress in Germany, and why you have to be careful about certain things in Asia. Facts from this report: The housing trap: Anyone who thinks they can live in luxury in Vietnam for 200 euros is mistaken. Gunnar viewed over 40 apartments to avoid excessive construction noise and mold. Today, he pays around €500 (15 million VND) for a decent 60m² new build. Toxic Expat Bubble: A big warning for new expats: Avoid the bubble of the frustrated! Gunnar distances himself from German groups who meet daily just to complain about Germany instead of enjoying their new life. Illness Abroad: Gunnar suffered a herniated disc while playing pickleball. The medical care was excellent – a pain injection cost just €1. For preventative care, he now goes for 90-minute professional physiotherapy sessions for under €10 (270,000 VND). Culture Clash & Mentality: Asian culture requires adaptation. Western irony is often completely misunderstood in Vietnam. Furthermore, it's traditional to share all dishes at the table.
