It’s August 1st. It’s cold, but the sun is shining outside. I ended a relationship three days ago. Well, actually, he ended it. But I’m okay. I feel at peace. The longing hurts a little, the emptiness comes and goes, sometimes I feel lost, but I’m slowly finding myself again. He was my companion in dreams, and now I must learn how to dream on my own… I hope the rest of my life can be as calm and comforting as this playlist. It’s October the 7th. I am currently sitting with my beautiful girlfriend. Yesterday was my 22 birthday and the first day of the final year in college. It’s raining lightly and the view outside the windows looks pretty enough to be grateful. Life is good. In few years we hope to be married. Will keep you updated, keep it up everyone.

I just got fired on my birthday 🎈 I just turned 28 and everything seemed to be going great. I finally took my first vacation after eight months of deep work as an international student, working part-time while pushing for that full-time offer. I made it happen, and for me as an immigrant, that felt huge. But out of nowhere, the company let me go. Not because of performance, but because they didn’t want to deal with visa sponsorship. And still, I’m here and I feel at peace—probably for the first time in my life. A year ago I would’ve been angry, lost, and spiraling. But I’ve been reading, learning, and realizing I am not my thoughts. Life unfolds in front of us. I can act when it’s time to act, but I don’t need to get crushed by the choices of other people. If you’re reading this and something unfair or unexpected happened to you, don’t let it define your worth. I’m 28, I just got fired, and somehow I feel stronger, calmer, and more hopeful than ever. So trust me, there’s still so much ahead for you too.
