SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Following a weeks-long trial, Kouri Richins was found guilty of murdering her husband, Eric Richins. The 35-year-old Utah mother of three was accused of poisoning and killing Eric by lacing his cocktail with a lethal dose of fentanyl in March 2022, at their home near Park City. After about three hours of deliberation, the jury found her guilty of all charges, including aggravated murder. She was also convicted of attempted aggravated murder for a failed attempt to kill Eric on Valentine's Day, just weeks before his death; forgery; and two counts of insurance fraud related to Eric's life insurance coverage.
