EDGE Trade Targets for the SEAHAWKS: Who Are The Best Fits?

The Seattle Seahawks pass rush has produced better pressure numbers through three games than the raw sack totals might suggest — but could John Schneider still look for another EDGE defender before the 2026 NFL trade deadline? On this episode of Sleeper Seahawks, Dan Viens builds a Seahawks Trade Target Watch list featuring some of the NFL's most intriguing pass rushers. We separate the fantasy names from potentially realistic options and examine what each player could actually cost Seattle — both in a trade and against the salary cap. Maxx Crosby is the name Seahawks fans keep asking about, but does a trade with the Raiders make any sense? What about a blockbuster pursuit of T.J. Watt, or his Steelers teammate Alex Highsmith? Could Danielle Hunter become available? And are younger EDGE defenders like Tuli Tuipulotu or YaYa Diaby potentially more interesting fits for Seattle's long-term plans? We also examine Chase Young, K'Lavon Chaisson and Kayvon Thibodeaux, including their pass-rush production, run defense, contracts and potential availability as the NFL trade deadline approaches. This isn't a report that the Seahawks are actively pursuing any of these players. It's a look at the EDGE trade market Seattle could be watching if Mike Macdonald and John Schneider decide an already-talented Seahawks defense needs even more juice for a potential playoff run.
