  The reason for this problem is that ppl treats every game like a game that could be played forever<br>Not every game needs to be as consistently popular as skyrim,minecraft,csgo,etc.<br>Why this argument is so common is that some developpers starts treating their games as a live service. New content drop or mods drops and ppl still play those games. Kinda like everyone is trying to make a &apos;&apos;forever game&apos;&apos;. Not every game needs that.<br>Sometimes a good story and great gameplay is good enough

  The video perfectly described something I&apos;ve been frustrated with for awhile with the gaming community and the obsession with single player games being &quot;dead.&quot; I dont think a single player game can ever be &quot;dead&quot; as long as you can still play it. <br><br>&quot;Dead&quot; used to mean that it was a multiplayer game that didn&apos;t have enough players to support matchmaking or no one is playing on servers, now people throw the word around for every game that isn&apos;t talked about every day for a year.

  I think this issue with low player counts for single player games is just a psyop of big companies to delegitimize that argument for live service games where it makes the most sense, especially when comparing them to past games from the same ip that weren&apos;t live services.

  There’s one singular trend that has been the sole reason for the decline in the games industry. Greed. The gaming industry has become nothing more than another marketing scheme and the marketers have found the most efficient way they can produce a product and make as much money as possible off of it. <br><br>There’s a reason Ubisoft and other AAA studios were ranting about how games like Elden Ring and Baldur’s Gate shouldn’t be expected as the standard, they’ve found a formula that’s easy to follow and make billions off of and they don’t want that to change.<br><br>After actually getting a minute into the video I realize this is not what the video is about at all. I’m going to leave my rant here though.
