  I was in the generator industry for over 35 years, and I'd take a Kohler with no warranty over a Generac with 10 years of warranty any day. You'll be fine....

  Ran across your Kohler install video and what a job it was.  You did a first class job from start to finish and didn't skimp on anything. The part I absolutely LOVED was your 2 dogs having fun during the construction process, I had a smile across my face the whole time as they kept the project lively from start to finish and I loved the digging and trying to bury the AC unit  LOL   !! I also live in Florida and had a Shepherd for many years and they are the best. Thanks again for a great video and you sir are a first class installer, plus the "helpers".

  I have had thus unit for 12 years and it has saved my bacon so many times 😊 the longest it had to run was 10 days before the power came back.

  I just got a 26kw Kohler generator installed this week and watched 3 guys work together perfectly. They brought a precast pad, which saved a lot of time. I think it was well worth the install price. You are to be commended for your knowledge and skill to do DIY.<br>I think the Kohler is the better generator, Generac has a lot of plastic parts inside. Ours kicked on perfectly for 45 minutes about a day and a half after install because of an outage. Tree limbs and trees are always a problem in our rural area with the wind.
