  I ran into this gentleman, his lady and his father in Koh Samui, Thailand. &nbsp;He is the nicest person. &nbsp;It was wonderful to see him and talk to him for a few minutes after having watched his videos for years.

  My Thai wife cannot believe how long the wait times are to see a specialist here in California, which can easily be 3-4 months. &nbsp;In Thailand, you just walk into the hospital, and they can usually see you same day. &nbsp;And don&apos;t get me started on how cheap it is.

  I was in Bangkok this January 2025 and I went to the same dental office you mentioned. It was around the corner from Terminal 21. &nbsp;The service was excellent, office was clean, modern equipment, people welcoming and polite. Drumroll, the price of my services were 60% less than back home!!

  One huge tip Chris mentioned at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_La9PzMfupM&amp;t=1280">21:20</a> that saves a fortune: Buy your meds at an outside pharmacy, not the hospital pharmacy. The markup inside Bumrungrad/Bangkok Hospital is often 30-40%. Walk 100 meters down the street and save $50 instantly.

  Yeah, the dental works here in Thailand is outstanding, hitech and very professional! Doesn&apos;t hurt that it&apos;s very cheap too!

  There is a US trained and licensed physician at Bangkok Adventist Hospital (BAH) who is also Thailand board certified. &nbsp;Nick Walters MD spent two years studying written and spoken Thai to pass local accreditation.<br><br>Since 2023 I have had Dr. Walters review several health exams I had done at BAH.

  Great info - thanks a lot, and I love the humour.<br>I was in Chiang Kham in October, it&apos;s about 2hr drive south of Chiang Rai, 4-5 hours east of Chiang Mai. I picked up a stomach bug somewhere else, but made the mistake (according to the doctor) of taking some immodium rather than letting it out of my system, and in a week it had moved from my stomach/bowels to my bloodstream. I&apos;ve not felt that ill for a long time and I didn&apos;t even have the strength to get out of bed.<br>My thai friend had the sense to call an ambulance and they took me to emergency at the local hospital in Chiang Kham.<br>I can&apos;t rate the care high enough, even for a public hospital. The doctor that saw me in emergency spoke good english and explained everything to me. I started on a public ward with a drip and catheter. Constant attention from the nursing staff to check everything.<br>After the first night, they offered me a private room, and even though I felt fine on the ward (frankly, I was too sick to care) I went for it - it was only £25.<br>The doctor wanted me to stay for 5 days, but I wanted to get going, so they said I could leave if I stayed close and to come back if there were any problems.<br>In total, the cost for a two night / three day hospitalisation, including all the drugs, x-ray, etc was 13,000 baht (about £350).

  Earlier this year my wife flew to Thailand to get some dental work done. After the flight, dental costs and a 1 month stay, &nbsp;she saved over $4,000.<br>She flies back for most of her medical issues.
