  My mum died in January this year. She was 98. Before we lost her in the fog of dementia I used to play songs for her on the guitar. One day, I played The Rain Song, by Led Zeppelin. She loved it and said, &quot;Would you play that at my funeral.&quot;<br><br>I did, nerves and all. <br><br>On the day of her funeral, I don&apos;t think the priest would have agreed to me playing Led Zeppelin in the church. I told him it was a &quot;wee classical piece.&quot;<br><br>Thanks for everything, Glen. May you rest in eternal musical peace. <br><br><br>❤

  I’ve never really felt sad when a celebrity dies, other than Robin Williams, until the passing of Glen. There’s just something so incredible special about this man that I think everyone who followed him felt. He was a gift.

  Both a beautiful gentle man, and &apos;a gentleman&apos; as we still say in Ireland meaning really, not someone with fancy manners or wealth, but rather, someone who is decent and kind, considerate of others - which he most undoubtedly was. I had the joy of seeing him in concert with the Frames probably around 1991 in Dublin, they were fantastic. He never let his talent go to his head, he just had decency and honesty in him, and great heart and compassion for others. May he rest in peace and every sympathy to his wife, child and family. He will most genuinely be missed, there&apos;s not many like him.

  I haven&apos;t turned on my phone for a few days. I just found out that Glenn is gone. I feel like someone ripped my heart out. I was listening to Glenn the day he left us. I&apos;m so bereft.

  As a very serious child of a very unserious mom, the is both endearing and heartbreaking. &nbsp;I miss my mom. &nbsp;I miss Glen. &nbsp;RIP to both.
