  The era where we&apos;d have Countdown to the Crown stuff with like Alaska interviewing girls, them doing impressions of each other, the red carpet, etc. was unmatched

  Literally when we all knew the &quot;rules&quot; and Ru even followed them. Season 1 through 7 was such a great time to be a fan. I honestly miss DragRace on Monday night

  2017/2018 drag race while living in Chicago in my 20&apos;s was so peak. Roscoe&apos;s was free &amp; first come first serve for watch parties &amp; meet n greets, going to Berlin (RIP) afterwards, running into queens at the clubs. I sat next to detox a few times at roscoes after she moved here &amp; bought the vixen a shot at Berlin during the Lizzo concert that was $20 at the door <b>sigh</b>

  I think the rapid turn over of seasons and franchises of drag race makes the queens just feel like reality show contestants, and not the chance of being introduced to new artists that you want to follow and see what they do next. The new system of drag race makes everything feel more expendable imo.

  I miss Katya&apos;s periscope era, she used to come on there randomly on a tuesday night and talk about literally anything

  What I miss most about that era is that I trusted production. I truly believed their decisions were fair, and even if I didn&apos;t agree with everything, it all made sense in the end. Consequently, winning the season back then elevated a queen to a whole new level. But now, with all the crazy twists, it’s far more common to see queens who didn&apos;t win become more popular or even have their artistry more admired by the fandom than the actual winners. Honestly, it’s a shame; it has kind of lost its magic because now it’s obvious that it’s just reality TV, not a fair competition.
