  We use a Bidet which makes things so much cleaner when wiping than smearing poop on your butt and allowing the bacteria to grow until your next shower.

  The most flawed and unhealthy invention in the history of humankind is the sit-down toilet.<br>We are bipeds. Our internal bowel architecture, especially the output valves i.e. our rectum and butthole,<br>is optimized and designed such that we are supposed to crap, not sitting, not squatting but instead: standing up.<br><br>Does it make sense that we are the only animal that has to wipe our behinds. We only have to do so because<br>of the convolution and pressure and restriction upon key gluteal and other surrounding muscles that when unrestricted<br>through standing move perfectly to eliminate what needs to come out. To not even have to wipe is achieved only by<br>standing up to poop.<br><br>Have you noticed that often when you stand up to wipe, you have to go again i.e. more has to come out? This is because<br>when you stand up you create the correct posture and stance for all that needs to come out, to come out.<br><br>It is funny that we are supposed to be the smartest animal, yet we are the only animal that literally does not know<br>how to poop.<br><br>Also, the cause of hemorrhoids is not sitting on cold concrete etc. The single cause of hemorrhoids is because<br>you are tearing up your hemorrhoidal tissue because of sitting on the toilet while going. You are stretching and tearing<br>this delicate tissue that is designed to only do what it has to do in the standing posture.<br><br>And that&apos;s what that&apos;s all about.

  Maybe the first system could be sold to the owners of the Berg Kalif in Dubai. The building has no sewage connections and relies on a fleet of tanker trucks running around the clock just to keep up with the sewage disposal needs.

  I can see an eventual situation where such things are cheap enough for ordinary folks to want one &amp; then the resolution will likely be keeping the existing toilet while installing this thing alongside or in a different location as an extra bathroom space, with always having the old style toilet as a backup. Eventually only older buildings will still maintain old toilets. &nbsp;I did notice that there is no discussion of toilet paper or problems caused by anything other than waste products going down those new systems !!! &nbsp; I can hear the kid crying &amp; saying &apos;Mummy the toilet stole my doll&quot; !!!

  In poor places they would store the water in a barrel &amp; have a ash tray that pulls out to be cleaned

  Why does everything get more complex and consequently more expensive as time progresses? I used an electric toilet in Sweden in 1966, it worked with no maintenance for years. It was mostly stainless steel to the observer, like the loos in an airplane with a stack of large, recycled-paper coffee filters at the side. One placed a &quot;filter&quot; paper in the pan, filled it, closed the lid and pressed the button, it fell thru to the chamber below and was incinerated. The only output was organic ash in the lowest container which could be easily emptied as needed, used in the garden, also cleaning was minimal. Absolutely fabulous. Minimal resources, minimal manufacturing, minimal research, and minimal maintenance; just straight forward creative thinking.
