Recently, VKG player Lqdud decided to retire after being doxxed and harassed by obsessive fans of EDG’s predecessor, DF, choosing to step away in order to protect the safety of his newlywed wife. At the same time, QQ also stepped back from competition for personal reasons. It’s rather bittersweet that a team which had just claimed the championship now finds itself losing its original roster.

Your deep dive videos are the best! I often travel for work and can't watch all the games.

Edit: I wrote this at the beginning, but I'm glad you finally recognise APAC South by the end. Also it's worth mentioning, we've never been an underdog region. I mean look at Reignite, Dark Zer0. And now Falcons (2 APAC South players), 100T (1 APAC South player), Shopify (APAC South player). Our players are consistently up there, even if we go to other regions for better pay.

I feel like it's only "unexpected" because noone gives a shit about APAC South except Genome.

Well you now have Lace on the main broadcast too but they can only do some much.

All the American casters and, consequently, fans, underestimate APAC South teams.

That final match, top 4 was 3 APAC South teams all on match point and Sentinels, the only non APAC South team and not on match point.

VKG was the best team that day and deserved to win. What i like the most about their team is the communication and no toxicity, unlike most NA teams... QQ MVP baby LFG!
