  I love that they both acknowledge that self-diagnosis is a product of people experiencing actual difficulties and not necessarily having the resources to get properly evaluated.

  I like Dr.Bender’s attitude on mental illness in media a lot. He also looks like Clark Kent trying to disguise himself as a regular guy.

  I think part of the reason we have Dr Mike as a social media influencer is because of his curiosity. The way his antennas went up when the psychiatrist frame was mentioned and he very quickly said tell me about that more is a big part of the why we have all this interesting and important information on his channel. I think we forgot in this current environment that there's more that we don't know than what we do know, and that being curious and wanting to know more in a respectful positive way is great!

  As a physical therapist I love how the relationship between emotional pain and physical pain was touched upon! Huge factor in a lot of my patients with chronic low back pain and the fear avoidance behavior patterns that Dr. Mike was talking about! It’s REAL pain!

  I understand that people see their exes as narcissists. That seems like an explanation. And humans love explanations. It&apos;s easier to accept that person did a bad thing bc they are for example, a narcissist. Not simply because they&apos;re human and humans do bad things with no real, bigger &quot;reason&quot;.<br><br>But everyone gets sad sometimes - it doesn&apos;t mean that everyone is depressed. Everyone is awkward or gets overwhelmed sometimes. Doesn&apos;t mean everyone is autistic. Everyone does things that affect others negatively, doesn&apos;t mean every person you don&apos;t like is a narcissist. <br><br>BUT: the fact that you&apos;re sad isn&apos;t any less valid because youre not depressed. Your overwhelm shouldn&apos;t be overlooked because youre not autistic. That person&apos;s bad behaviors don&apos;t become &quot;less&quot; even if theyre not a narcissist.

  <b>raises hand</b> My ex-husband and I divorced amicably after going to couples therapy. To be fair, I think at that point we were just looking for confirmation that the relationship was done and ending it was the best choice for both of us. The fact we never had any children made it easier as well (not easy... just easier). I also agree with Dr. Bender that a couple that hates each other choosing to stay together for their children, is actually more harmful to said children than watching their parents get a divorce. Children pick up on so much more than a lot of people think.
