Imagine if you had to worry about something like this every time you wanted a glass of water.  We live such charmed lives.

Scariest part is the cat KNOWS there is danger, but too thirsty to resist.

This gives you the idea of how dangerous crocodiles are, especially in water when this one literally caught the fastest land animal<br>Edit: Sorry guys. When I made this comment, I didn’t know it had NOTHING to do with the cheetah’s speed

Crocodiles are by far the scariest predator on earth. They outlasted the dinosaurs, and they’ve hardly changed since then.

The reason why drinking animals at the water hole did not see the croc approaching is the &quot;total reflection&quot; (a physical phenomenon) of sunlight that blocks the view of the croc in the water, until it is too late.

The cheetah knew something wasn&apos;t right but didn&apos;t follow it&apos;s instinct

Crazy thing is, it looks like the cheetah saw it coming. It hisses at the water before drinking, not knowing that it would cost it, its life.

I know this is fairly tragic but capturing this footage is absolutely amazing.

Astonishing how close the croc got whilst remaining undetected.
