Burnham is lying; scraping the triple lock won't save enough to fund the social care budget. As the program guest said, it will save millions, not the billions which the social care budget will cost. And if the non-pensioners think the savings will trickle down to them, they are going to be disappointed

Generational fairness? People work their entire lives and pay taxes and national insurance to earn the right. When the young become old they will need the younger generation that’s how it works. Those young people complaining about it today won’t be complaining when they get old if they protect the pensions today.

If the triple lock is not affordable then the public sector pensions, funded heavily by the taxpayer must go also…….the triple lock is just the thin end of the wedge……..
