It's weird how he was still alive during the events of the movies and Anakin's Jedi involvement. The way Palpatine tells the story makes it seem like something that happened decades prior at the very least.

I love this book but there’s something inherently funny about watching the movie and imagining Plagueis just slightly offscreen. Like yelling at the movie like “HE’S RIGHT THERE, JUST TURN THE CAMERA”

We NEED a young Palpatine series… about his rise to power and all the works behind the political scenes with Plagueis

He might be one of my favorite Star Wars characters. He’s so brilliant and so obviously what a Sith would be doing during the time of the republic.

Why do people act like the rule of two is some hard coded thing? It's just a strategy that Darth Bane developed to help hide and avoid infighting to concentrate power. Sith can break it as much as they want and there's really no reason to expect they wouldn't with how deceptive they are. Sith apprentices often begin training their own apprentices before killing their masters because they want to overthrow them.

Of course, just after Qui-Gon had died and Maul was presumed dead, Count Dukuu became Sideous’s new apprentice - Darth Tyranus.

3:28 I love the fact that Darth Plagueis was only concerned when Qui Gon Jinn was dispatched because he knew that two things one he was the only Jedi that couldn’t be easily manipulated and two and more to the point he was the only Jedi that could’ve forced their allies in the trade Federation to reveal their true allegiance to the Sith
